Mark A. Thompson, MD

Dr. Thompson earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at Texas Tech University. Following this achievement, he earned a medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Thompson then relocated to the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he completed his residency in radiation oncology. His residency focus included Stereotactic Radiosurgery, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, Interstitial Brachytherapy, and Transperineal Prostatic Brachytherapy. One of the highlights of his residency included six months at the Seattle Prostate Institute with Dr. John Blasko. Dr. Thompson is board-certified in radiation oncology and a member of ASTRO (the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology).
